H4H-

I was a member of Habitat for Humanity for three years of my life and during that time, I had the opportunity to go to Sri Lanka to volunteer at an orphanage and an elephant sanctuary and to build homes.

River

Sri Lanka is prone to natural disasters such as floods, and in 2017 many regions suffered major ones, which is why Habitat for Humanity was promoting volunteering to help the people of this beautiful country. These photos was taken on the way to where the members and I were staying; I was captivated by all the greenery, how serene the water looked, and how blue the skies were.

Through these images, I wanted to show the movement of the trees and the ripples in the water made by that little boat sailing in the distance. The depth is quite prevalent and can be eye-grabbing  due to the tranquility and enchanting colours of nature.

Aren't elephants incredible? I feel so blessed to have been able to care for them during my volunteer trip and had to pay tribute to this memorable experience.

In order for me to edit these photographs and videoclip I had taken with my iPhone, I used Adobe's Photoshop.

This scene is from a boat ride I took in order to get to the elephant sanctuary from the building site. The river was so calming, I couldn't resist not capturing the moment! The editing process consisted of enhancing what was already a magnificent piece of art, mother nature's work.
