Back in 2019, I took a trip to Miami to enjoy the sights and everything the city had to offer. While taking a walk, I came across these beautiful pillars and snapped a shot of it with my little camera I brought with me. I found all the colours so alluring that I had to do something with the photo, hence why I repeated the pattern of the columns to create the effect of endlessness.
Colours have meanings. Dark blue can be seen as a sign of elegance, intelligence, and trustworthiness; cyan is said to recharge spirits and emit stability; yellow is known as the colour of happiness and creativity; pink represents love and kindness; red symbolizes passion, violence, and adventure. How fitting?
How did I create this piece?
By using Adobe's Photoshop, I aimed to create an illusion of a never-ending walkway with a camera-shot photograph I had previously taken.
